Diversity and Culture Share_ Michael Loesch

 

Hi, I'm Michael. For my culture share I really just wanted to show things I'm interested in. I really love Twenty One Pilots and Lucy Dacus. (Last year, I was in the top 0.005% of Lucy Dacus listeners on Spotify.) I'm from South Bend, so I put the Notre Dame logo on here, but I'm indifferent towards it. I got my minor in German last year, so I put a guy in Lederhosen. My favorite piece of media ever is probably the manga Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, so I made her really big. The little animals are called rhinogrades; they're part of a speculative evolution project, Bau und Leben der Rhinogradentia, that I really like. My grandmother is from the Philippines, so I wrote the name of her ethnic group and "grandmother" in the precolonial writing system in the colors of the Filipino flag. Finally, I'm Catholic, so I put Christ crucified along with some of my favorite saints, San Pedro Calungsod, Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, and St. Joseph under the epithet 'Terror of Demons.'
