Project 1__ Kourtney Adair

 

First, let's talk about the scan above. This is my first favorite scan artwork made by Diane Kaye. It is about movement of color from two still objects that look like oranges possibly. The zig-zag orange really gives the digital art a sense of rough edges. Plus, I always enjoy drawing tornados when I was younger, so it reminds me of that in a good way. Next, let's talk about the scan on the bottom. This artwork is also made by Diane Kaye. I like the flow of colors: red, pink, yellow, and orange. The blend of the colors is more vibrantly seen instead of hidden. I also like how the shape is wavy, because it reminds me of the ocean. Lastly, the insides show those paper-like flowers.

My idea for Project 1:

This paper shows 12 different ideas. The whole background will be a faded pink heart to resemble my compassion for these ideas. The whole foreground will show all 20 photos. On the top left, it shows my passion panda bears, care bears, and dolphins. On the top right, it shows my passion for the great outdoors: nature. On the bottom left, it shows my passion for being a follower of Jesus Christ by holding up a Bible. On the bottom right, it lastly shows my passion for good recycling and my girly outfits ideas.

The heart in the background emphasizes my passion for the subjects in the foreground. Starting on the top left is my stuff Teddy bears': big panda bear and small pink care bear. I often sleep at night with stuff animals to calm my heart rate down enough to fall asleep. Below that on the bottom left is a paper-made dolphin that my older sister Kirsten gave me for my birthday and the dolphin scan (I think those scans are cool). Next to the top middle is a picture of a blue Ford Focus, because that is the car I drive. Her name is Chloey. To the top right is what appears to be angels and nature. I have a huge interest in angels and believe that I have a guardian angel watching over me. The nature above is my favorite color flowers and trees. Plus, the blue Spruce up there reminded me of the two at home. To the bottom middle and right is my fashion collection. I have a unique way of wearing my cloths. Ranging from dresses, shirts, shorts, shirts, sweats, and sweatshirts. Lastly, I tried to show my sense of humor in some ways: the big stuffed panda has my hands on his ears and hiding behind the scan, dolphin on top of the Ford Focus car, and one angel is on top of the blue Spruce tree. 

One thing that I ended up doing different than my sketch idea is that instead of holding a bible to indicate me as a follower of Jesus, I choose to show my interest in angels on the top right instead of bottom left. Another thing is that I choose to leave the recycling part out and instead did a variety of my outfits instead of just the girly outfits. I did, however, add the type of car I drive. I did these things for the audience to better understand my personality. I forgot to mention, it ended up being 23 total images.
