 Evilsabeth Schmitz-Garcia used the scanner to manipulate, distort, and add effect to portraits of people. It looks creepy. The creative process looks like a lot of fun. Seeing images some out in different ways after dragging a face across the scanner as it moves or layering different objects for different visual effect is satisfying. The dark setting and blurred faces gives the feeling of being trapped in a dark place, which is exactly what she was doing with all of her portraits to represent borderline personality disorder.
